Beyond 'Fair Trade'
We source our coffee directly from José, a 3rd generation farmer we have partnered with to take the operation of our brand "beyond fair-trade", allowing him a say in his business, and the ownership he needs to create a legacy.
Why is this so important? - Many coffee farmers in South America have no choice but to sell their coffee to pre-established brokers, in somewhat of a monopolistic trade. By partnering directly with José, we cut out the stronghold of the middleman giving José, his family, and his workers a better livelihood.
